Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 Not Charging

Most common issue to almost all samsung units when it comes to not charging problem is no other that the charging port. replacing the charging port will solve the problem. Below is an images of Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 charging post replacement.



First measure the voltage output from battery terminal. It must be not lower than 3.8 volts, ang not higher than 5 volts. On this case, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 has 0 volt output. In most cases, the charging port is damage.



Now dismantle the charging flex board, and remove the damage charging port. Apple first flux on the charging port body, then resolder the pins and both sides. Then gently remove the charging port by using your hot air.



Instead of holding the charging port, use an scrapt usb charging cable to hold your charging port while soldering it. Avoid shorting the pins. After soldering measure the charging output voltage from the battery terminal. And if it measures 3.8 volts and up, then congrats you are finish with your work! Re-assemble the unit and test it if it's now charging.
