Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100 Clone Not Charging
I have a customer here complaining that her Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100 Clone doesn't detect the charger. Or simple if she insert her charging there's no reaction, in other words it doesn't charge. I disassemble the unit and found out that the charging post has been damage and separated from the board. Not only that, the three connections has been peeled off as shown in the image below. But luckily 2 connectios are left, the positive on the left and negative on the right.
In this case I use to put a jumper on the positive pin of the charging port and solder it on the positive connaction on the board. This is to ensure a better and sure connection of the positive :)
Now solder the charging port. Be sure you that have a good soldering skills:) After that measure the charge output voltage from the battery terminal. It must be not lower than 3.8Volts and not higher than 5Volts.
Finally re-assemble the unit ang you're done!
OPPO R831K Can't Power On
I have now this OPPO R831K, the customer said it doesn't powered on, but it can be charge. The first things that comes to my mind is a faulty switch. I dismantle the unit. Check the flax switch most especially the membrane. Maybe there's a corrosion at the bottom of the membrane. But there's no corrosion. Next step is connection checking. I checked the connection from both side of the switch going to the 2 connection that will be connected to the board. I found out that the other connection is open. So what are we going to do with that? Just apply a jumper, and problem will be solve.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 Not Charging
Most common issue to almost all samsung units when it comes to not charging problem is no other that the charging port. replacing the charging port will solve the problem. Below is an images of Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 charging post replacement.
First measure the voltage output from battery terminal. It must be not lower than 3.8 volts, ang not higher than 5 volts. On this case, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 has 0 volt output. In most cases, the charging port is damage.
Now dismantle the charging flex board, and remove the damage charging port. Apple first flux on the charging port body, then resolder the pins and both sides. Then gently remove the charging port by using your hot air.
Instead of holding the charging port, use an scrapt usb charging cable to hold your charging port while soldering it. Avoid shorting the pins. After soldering measure the charging output voltage from the battery terminal. And if it measures 3.8 volts and up, then congrats you are finish with your work! Re-assemble the unit and test it if it's now charging.
Finish product
