OPPO R831K Shorted Solution
This is an OPPO R831K water damage unit. I checked it and the board was shorted. It has many corroded parts. Just remove the capacitor C1838 that is connected in Vbat_PMU with respect to ground as shown on the image below.
After removing the capacitor, the shorted was gone and the unit can now power on.

Samsung J120H Shorted Solution
When I connect to 3.8V my digital power supply shut-off. Even on low voltage 1.3V it also shuts-off. This means that the J120H board is fully shorted.
What I did was to put a 3.8V supply using my CD-R KING power bank :) As I connect the board to my power bank, 1 component has been burnt out. The is the capacitor. The shortage was gone after I removed the capacitor. I powered it on, and the J120H unit went well :)

Repairing iPhone 4 Wet Unit
I got this wet iPhone 4 few days ago, and the board was shorted when I checked it on my analog tester after I disassembled. When a unit is shorted I use to connect it on my power supply with 3.8V. When I connect it to my digital power supply with 3.8 volts, my power supply shorts, or in other words it will display 0V and 0A. This will prove that the unit has a full short.... When this happens I use to turn down the voltage on my digital power supply. I use 1.3 volts. Then I connect again to the board, and it displays high ampere current, but my power supply doesn't short. That's good! The next thing I used to to is to touch the iPhone 4 board and feel if there's a component that is hot or heating. The most common components that easily heats up are capacitors.
Finally I traced the hot component. And that is the camera flash IC. This IC is sealed. I removed the camera flash IC via hot air. After removing, the shorted is gone. I assembled the iPhone 4 immediately. Viola!
I explained to the customer that I don't have that kind of IC. I told her that the most important thing is that her iPhone can now be use :) Hirap talaga mag english. Dugo na ilong ko huhuhuhu.

Repairing Shorted Samsung SM-T231(No Power)
When I am repairing a unit with shorted board, I always connect it to power supply. There are 3 things I must check. (1) If it is full shorted. That the power supply will show zero reading. (2) If it is half-short(that's what i call it). That the power supply will not go to zero reading but it has high ampere reading. (3) If it has s small short. That the power supply will not go to zero reading but it has very low ampere reading. These are my own description.
I repaired this Samsung tablet with model number SM-T231 in just a few minutes. I only got hard time in dismantling the tablet because its very hard.
And after dismantling the tablet and found out that its board has a shorted board. I checked it on my analog tester and it has zero reading.
I connected my digital power supply alligator clip positive to the positive terminal of the tablet, with respect to negative. It has a high ampere rating. And if it has high ampere rating what I used to do it to put my fingers on each of the components on the board, most especially the capacitors. You know why? The deffective component/s will get heat! And like what I have expected, one capacitor heats up. I quicktly determine what component is deffective. Just see the picture below. As I have expected, CAPACITOR!
After removing the capacitor, shorted reading is gone. Ans the tablet can power on now. :)
